Growing up as a wildlife enthusiast, Sacha naturally progressed towards a career within an environmental sector – one which fulfils her love of all that is wild. She began training with the RSPB in 2009 before departing to look after a vulnerable seabird colony – the Little Tern – for the Spurn Bird Observatory Trust in Yorkshire. Honing her ecological skills through conservation work with the Wildlife Trusts, Sacha has encountered a wide range of habitats and species throughout County Durham and beyond.
Now a full time ecologist, she surveys and studies our native wildlife almost on a daily basis which provides the necessary skills to find and identify wildlife field signs easily missed. With a passion for birds, Sacha enjoys spending her free time along Northumberland coast and in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
